PAUL SMITH has been given the highest honor All trademarks' - Outstanding Achievement Award, before the official ceremony at the Savoy Hotel on 28 November.

The prize is awarded to those who have made an outstanding contribution to British Fashion. Previous winners include John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.

"After more than 40 years in business, awards like this means a lot," Smith told us today. "It was a pleasant surprise when I realized I have a computer and make space in my office for the award."
